USD (not set) - 1,000,000 Description: The COVID-19 Vaccine Counter-Misinformation Open Fund is intended to support journalistic efforts to effectively fact-check misinformation about the COVID-19 immunization process, with a concentration on projects that aim to reach audiences underserved by fact-checking or targeted by misinformation. The uncertainty and developing nature of the health crisis provoked by the novel coronavirus has made providing accurate, evidence-based journalism more essential than ever. Priority will be given to collaborative projects (e.g. multiple news organizations/entities working together) and that are interdisciplinary in nature (e.g. involve journalists working alongside epidemiologists or immunologists). Economic Empowerment of Women Home Based Workers and Excluded Groups : Description:   UN Women has been working with, Women Homebased Workers (WHBWs), including those belonging to the most vulnerable populations, and the importance of ‘leaving no one behind’ has been embedded in the UN Women programming, i.e. reaching out to women with disabilities, women from religious minorities and different ethnic groups, and the transgender community.  The focus is conceptualizing strategies that relate to their lived realities and promote their economic status and participation. It is worth mentioning that provincial variations prevail in terms of the WHBWs voice, visibility, abilities, mobility, and connectivity.
